Good morning, travelers!

Valentine’s Day weekend | Surely by now you’re thinking about Valentine’s Day. No? In case you’ve missed our posts about last-minute ideas for this weekend, here’s a recap.

> Give her a gift card from Bedandbreakfast.com, Southwest Airlines, WaySpa or REI.

> Skip the chocolates and just propose in one of the World’s most romantic places to propose.

> Stay close to home. Here are 10 Valentine’s Day getaways in California. Gee, what would she like the most? Joshua Tree, Santa Monica, Avalon or San Luis Obispo?

> San Francisco escapes are always romantic, but a spa treatment in Vegas is downright sexy.

Air France update | Yesterday, Paris airports were shut down because of high winds. They began to resume flights gradually early this morning at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports. If you have an Air France flight today, check their flight operation news page and/or call + 33 1 57 02 10 58 for flight information. Delays can be expected, even though long-haul flights will resume. Almost 15% of short- and medium-haul flights have been canceled.

Twitter travel | Have you heard about the Twitchhiker yet? Paul Smith (@twitchhiker) is traveling as far as he can (from his home in Newcastle upon Tyne, Britain) solely on the hospitality of twitterers. On his way, he’ll be raising money for charity: water. The journey begins March 1.
