Airline news | It didn’t look good for Alitalia after a third rescue plan to save the bankrupt airline fell through. Italy’s largest airline resorted to putting for-sale ads in newspapers, and the silver lining came at the last minute when Italy’s largest union, CGIL, withdrew objections and finally agreed to the plan, which includes the Italian Air Co.
