Good morning, travelers. The Associated Press reports that domestic airfares jumped 8.1% in the second quarter to their highest level since the government started keeping track 13 years ago. Read: U.S. airfares hit record high

Travel deals | Hotwire’s Travel-Ticker Newsletter (subscribe at the bottom of the page) points us to a good Europe airfare sale. Lufthansa has flights on sale from Los Angeles (LAX) to 50+ cities in Europe starting at $248 each way. When: Book by Nov. 19 for travel Nov. 6-May 2.
