Labor Day travel | The Automobile Club of Southern California (AAA) reports that despite travel decreasing slightly this year for Labor Day, 594,000 California residents will be flying to their destinations and 3.5 million California residents will be driving. Local | I’ve never heard of an Amtrak train running out of fuel, but it happened Sunday night. Passengers on their way to San Diego had to wait about two hours for another train to push them the rest of the way. Read: San Diego-bound Amtrak train runs out of fuel. Were you on the train? Baja | Southern Baja has been drenched by Tropical Storm Julio. “Most vacationers rode out the bad weather Sunday inside their hotel rooms, but some ventured out on shopping trips and excursions,” reported the Associated Press. The storm is expected to weaken today. Were you stuck in Cabo San Lucas during the storm? How were your hotel accommodations?
