Roundup: Amazing international bookstores; Las Vegas Planet Hollywood & Flamingo for $49/night; Anaheim Hilton near Disneyland only $89/night

Travel blogosphere | Here’s a photo collection of the most interesting bookstores in the world. If that’s not enough to inspire readers to travel, I’m not sure what is. I’ve been to only one of the bookstores—and it’s not in the U.S. Thanks for the lead, Shelftalker.

Disneyland travel | HotelChatter has the scoop on the newly renovated Hilton Anaheim, which is offering 89 rooms for only $89 every day through the rest of the year. The catch is that you have to book 21 days in advance. Ask for the “advanced purchase rate” with the promo code QO. Call (877) 776-4932.

Las Vegas | Planet Hollywood and Flamingo are the latest hotels to join the masses of Sin City hotels lowering their prices. Both hotels have $49-per-night specials running. I found several “Hollywood Hip” rooms at Planet Hollywood for this price Sunday-Thursday. Book by March 31 for travel through June. Use promo code CMM39A, and call (866) 517-3263. Note: The prices are pre-tax and do not include a $4.99-per-night resort charge. Flamingo has rooms for $49 per night too (promo code PKGFGWL), but because they are so dated, I’d book the Go Rooms for $69 per night (promo code PKGFGGW). Ask for the “Get Wet for Less” sale. Rates are for select Sundays-Thursdays through Sept. 30, 2009, and include two poolside drinks.
