Airline news & deal | Congrats to Southwest Airlines, which is celebrating one year since its return to San Francisco (SFO). Download and check Ding! I found fares between LAX and SFO for $49 each way, pre-tax. Fares were the same price if you were departing from San Diego (SAN). There were also good deals on flights departing from SFO. Caveat: book by 9 p.m. Aug. 26, 2008.
