If you think your budget won’t budge for time on the slopes this winter, keep reading. SnowBomb.com, a great resource for discounted ski and snowboarding in the Lake Tahoe area, is running a superb deal for those of you who can afford the time and a little cash for winter play during a couple of midweek days this month.
The “play” part of the deal is at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, the closest Tahoe-area resort to Reno, less than a half-hour drive away. Note that it’s still early days for the resort, which has a 6- to 11-inch base depth and just two lifts open at present, but hopefully things will get snowier soon. The “stay” component is at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno.
Deal: For $79 per person (including tax), you receive the following: two nights of accommodations at Grand Sierra Resort; one all-day lift ticket per person to Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe; a $50 credit for food or spa services at Grand Sierra (only one credit per room); and a casino credit (only one credit per room) good toward your choice of five $10 match-play coupons or one $25 slot-play coupon.
The rate is based on double occupancy.
When: This package is available for stays Sunday through Thursday night, now through Dec. 30, 2008.

You didn’t mention Breckenridge though. I’m trying to book my ski trip there now; this video is beautiful and there’s more info about where to find good deals: http://newsinfusion.com/video_details.php?videoId=251
Give it a visit.
