Puerto Morelos, Mexico: Book all-inclusive package by May 27

Craving a getaway to the Mexico’s Caribbean coast? CheapCaribbean.com is offering some attractive flight + all-inclusive hotel deals in the Riviera Maya. None that I’m seeing at the moment are steals, but they are a good value given present flight prices to Cancun.

One I’ve found for the Ocean Coral & Turquesa seems particularly able to relax every jangled nerve. The resort, which sits between Playa del Carmen and Cancun, 30 miles from Cancun Airport, could serve as a base for excursions like scuba diving, horseback-riding and checking out ruins, or you could boycott day trips entirely and happily (read: guilt-free) succumb to five resort days of eating, drinking, spa trips and flipping through magazines poolside.

Deal: A four-night stay at the Ocean Coral & Turquesa costs $729 per person (pre-tax), if departing from Los Angeles (LAX). The package includes a round-trip flight to Cancun (CUN), accommodations, meals and drinks at the resort, and non-motorized water sports. Children 5 and younger stay and eat free; older children add $489 each to the package costs.

Under this promotion, you also get a free room upgrade, 10% off all massages and a savings card that allows you to get CheapTickets vacation credits for 10% of purchases made while on your trip.

When: Book this by May 27, 2008, for stays between now and June 30, 2008.

Note: Tax and service charges add about $140 per adult, and $89 per child older than 6, to the package price.

Tip: If you want to hold out for lower rates to the area, you could wait till the end of summer, which is low season because it also begins peak hurricane season.
