Air France is gradually resuming Paris service today after high winds shut airports there overnight, disrupting hundreds of flights. But not all the service is back, and in a notice on its website, the airline warned of “severe delays” in departures and arrivals.
Long-haul flights were first to resume. Not all short- and medium-length flights were operating, with nearly 15% canceled. For updates, visit the Air France website or call 011-33-1-5702-1058.
Northern Europe has been undergoing a bout of bad weather, and more is on the way. Winds of nearly 90 miles per hour whipped France’s Atlantic coast today, Reuters news service reported, with inland regions as far east as Burgundy also battered. Britain and and Switzerland were also hit by severe storms today, prompting flood warnings in southern and southwest England.
