My inner bargain-hunter loves off-season in the desert, especially when she’s looking to get in some good spa time. If you like a good pampering every now and again — or even daily — the Parker Palm Springs‘ fantastic midweek promotion might appeal to you.
Deal: Book a room for one or more nights Sunday through Thursday starting at $199 per night (pre-tax and excluding the $30 nightly resort fee), and for each paying night you receive a $200 credit toward a treatment at the Palm Springs Yacht Club, the hotel’s full-service spa facility. That’s no typo — yes, if you get the $199 rate, you are actually getting $1 more than the pre-tax price of your room to spend in the spa.
Caveat: You must fully prepay for this deal; no refunds.
You can use the credit toward any 60-minute spa service, except nail services. You can use just one spa credit per day, and you use it or lose it: You can’t carry over remaining credit from one day to the next or transfer it to another person.
Tested: When I checked, there were no rooms available under this special for May 18-22, 2008. For the next week, May 25-29, the lowest rate I found with this deal was $299 per night. I had better luck with the $199 rate for stays after June 1.
Connect/disconnect: Wireless Internet is available in all rooms, and it’s complimentary (well, included in the aforementioned resort fee anyway).

I went to the Parker on this deal and it was spectacular. The grounds, rooms, and staff are amazing but best of all were the spa treatments. The spa is super professional, but they don’t act like they are going to change your life.
If you can snag a room with this deal you will not regret it.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Sally. It’s great to hear that the deal is as good as it sounds.
