In our story Dining Discounts Around the Country, we left off the food celebration in Palm Desert and neighboring cities called 2009 Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week.
From June 10-19, visitors to Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta and Indio can order a three-course meal at a fixed price of $24 or $36, depending on the restaurant. (Drinks, tax and tip are extra.) The idea behind restaurant week events is to get people to expand their dining experiences by trying restaurants they’ve never visited before.
A list of the restaurants participating in the event is still in the works, but so far it includes Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Ristorante Tuscany in Palm Desert, Arnold Palmer’s Restaurant (shown above) and Amore in La Quinta as well as Indio’s newest restaurant, Jackalope Ranch.
