Norwegian Gem: Can a cruise ship be an “It” girl?

An “It” girl is the hottest woman in town (right now, anyway), and usually one who has just risen to stardom or popularity. So, can a cruise ship call itself an “It” girl? I thought that gossip blogs and tabloids had to pronounce that title. Well, the new Norwegian Gem is calling itself just that and proving to the cruise world that it’s worth the hype with a MySpace-esque website, blog and all the future BFF’s you’d want to meet. She (yes, the cruise ship) would like you to call her Ms. G.

Where is it? The Norwegian Gem ports in New York and has itineraries to Bahamas & Florida, Caribbean and Europe.

Bragging rights: Ms. G has a mood lit bowling alley and the totally luxe NCL Suites & Villas.
