Good morning, travelers. Let’s talk about travel deals today. I found some great leads by surfing the blogosphere.
New York | It’s getting cheap to travel by helicopter. NewYorkology points us to a $99 helicopter ride between Manhattan and JFK or Newark airports on U.S. Helicopter. The deal is even sweeter for Delta customers — only $45 one-way. Book by Oct. 17, 2008, for travel up to Dec. 31, 2008.
Las Vegas | Hotwire’s Travel-Ticker deal site has Las Vegas hotel rooms at the Golden Nugget for as low as $49 per night, midweek (pre-tax). What I like about this promo is that it doesn’t just give you the sale price, but outlines which dates you’ll find the lowest rates. There are also some $59 per night weekend gems in there too. Want to splurge? The luxe Gold Club rooms are $99 per night (pictured), and Parlor Suites are $129 per night on select dates, midweek (pre-tax).
Budget travel | How much do you spend on a trip? Family Travel blogger Debbie at Delicious Baby reveals the breakdown of expenses for their family trip to New Mexico. That’s a lot of note-taking and receipt-keeping, but I wish there were more of these kind of trip-expense examples out there for us to learn from. Read: A Real Travel Budget: New Mexico With Kids.
