New Year’s Eve in New York City + Times Square

NYCvisit.com: New Year's Even on Times Square

The Big Apple might not be the first (geographically speaking) to enter into the year 2008, but the countdown at Times Square is decidedly the best place in the world to ring in the New Year. Don’t worry if you’re a last-minute Nelly, NYC Visit has your back with what to do and where to be when. If you’re feeling like being spontaneous, here’s a run-down of what it will cost you to fly out there and stay a few nights. If you have any questions at all, check out Times Square NYC.

TRANSPORTATION AND ACCOMMODATION:

Flight from LAX-JFK: About $500 round trip including taxes on multiple airlines via Kayak.

Flight + hotel package:
$1,237 on Orbitz including taxes for a nonstop flight + two-night hotel package at the three-star Hotel Mayfair just steps away from Times Square. If two people are going, the price drops to $939 per person or $879 per person if you accept a layover in Vegas.

Hotel for Dec. 31-Jan. 2 near Times Square: On these nights, it’s not about how much, but who’s open. There are still rooms available at the three-star Paramount. The bill comes to $839 including taxes for both days. If you want to stay at the Hilton and look down on all the action, the price comes to $1,421 for both days including taxes and fees. Trip Advisor’s No.1-rated New York City hotel, Casablanca, is already sold out.

Have you ever experienced New Year’s Eve on Times Square? Would you do it again?
