News tip: The Bottleneck Blog found a company giving away free gas. Just offer your car up as a rolling billboard and get free monthly gas cards. The cars are required to travel at least 1,000 miles/month in order to qualify. If you’ve got a short commute to work, use the weekends to log your miles and enjoy a quick getaway. San Diego, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas…
Deal: FreeGasHelp.com is offering up to $200/month in free gas cards. There are varying levels of advertisement for equally variant amounts in gas. See the rate chart and requirements before signing up.
Do you drive with ads on your car? Is it worth it?
Caveat: To get the fully loaded gas card, your car must be totally wrapped in ads. New cars, military personnel, bright yellow vehicles and certain brand cars are eligible for an extra 5%.
Why do it: With the way gas prices are sky-rocketing, the dork factor of car ads will quickly be replaced by respect for being practical.
Why not: Wrapping your whole car to get a decent return will not impress dates.
