Name a bar, win a drink at San Diego’s Marriott Gaslamp Quarter

Now you too can have overly soused barflies repeatedly uttering your name, thanks to the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter.

The hotel is sponsoring a contest to name the newly renovated bar in the ground-floor restaurant, across the street from Petco Park.

Come up with the winning name and the hotel will give you a $1,000 bar and food tab, a VIP party and will affix your name to a custom drink.

Just go to the website nameyourlocalbar.com and type in your choice and, before you know it, bartenders may be giving guests this warning: “Slow down, bub. I think you’ve had one too many (insert your name here) tonight.”

The contest deadline is April 16 at 5 p.m. PST.
