A murderous, maniacal coal miner bent on Valentine’s Day vengeance will terrorize Halloween Horror Nights 2009 visitors at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Based on the 2009 3-D remake of the low-budget 1981 slasher film, the “My Bloody Valentine: Be Mine 4 Ever” haunted maze will take theme park visitors along the blood-splattered trail of the pick-axe wielding killer.
The critically panned original film, set in a sleepy Canadian town after a fatal mining disaster, went on to attain cult status among horror fans.
Halloween Horror Nights 2009 will also feature:
* Haunted mazes themed to the “Halloween” and “Saw” movie franchises
* A scare zone inspired by the romantic zombie comedy “Shaun of the Dead”
* A live “Rocky Horror Picture Show” musical revue
* The “Terror Tram: Live or Die” studio backlot tour
When: Halloween Horror Nights 2009 will take place at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday through Sunday nights in October (with the exception of Sunday, Oct. 4) as well as two Thursdays, Oct. 15 and 29, and a Wednesday, Oct. 28.
