Mammoth Lakes: Westin Monache fall deal

If you’re finding that fall foliage in Los Angeles leaves something to be desired, you don’t have to journey too far for a fun “leaf-spotting” getaway. In Mammoth Lakes, greens have been turning into yellows and oranges and golds this season (see this fall color update), but hurry to catch the colors: winter’s around the corner.

Deal: The Westin Monache’s Fall Colors package is going for $189 per person, per night (pre-tax) for single occupancy, or $199 per couple for double occupancy. In addition to your room accommodations, the package includes a full breakfast at Whitebark Restaurant (normal breakfast value is about $15 per person). You can book this package for one or more nights (with a maximum of seven nights). The promotion code is ‘PKGFALL.’

The room rates aren’t any less than the hotel’s normal fall rates, but the package gives you the free breakfast as well as maps with driving directions that point you to the best fall colors.

When: Available for stays now through Nov. 6, 2008.

Caveat: The package does not include the nightly resort fee of $25.
