Los Angeles: Deals on urban retreats

Deals: Get a room at The Standard Hotel Downtown starting at only $140/night – that could be less than your bar bill on their rooftop deck! Or try Le Merigot in Santa Monica. I found rooms in July starting at $359 but Quikbook has them starting at $299. Taxes and fees are additional.

Connect/Disconnect: The Standard has free T1 connections in your room but getting Wi-Fi on the rooftop deck and in the lobby is way more fun. Le Merigot has high-speed internet data ports in the rooms.
