LAX FlyAway shuttle for holiday travel

LAX FlyAway shuttleYes, folks, we are in the middle of holiday travel. If you have plans to fly out of LAX this week, you might want to consider taking a shuttle to the airport. Wednesday, Thursday morning and Sunday are expected to be the busiest travel days of the week. Airport officials expect 1.85 million passengers to go through LAX over the 10-day period that started Friday. Go early and you can have lunch at the Encounter restaurant, which reopened after being closed for eight months.

Deal: The LAX FlyAway shuttle rides cost $4 each way for adults and $2 for children 2 to 12 years old. There is no discount for purchasing round-trip tickets. But there are three options for catching the LAX FlyAway bus service: Union Station, Van Nuys and Westwood. It’s best to get a ride to Westwood, the most recent addition, because there’s no overnight parking on weekdays.

  1. Steve who votes in Mt. Washington Says:

Flyaway from Union Station used to leave every 15 minutes. Then they changed it to every 30 minutes. No one I spoke to knew how much long term parking was at Union Station. Buses at LAX are not exact. Van Nuys might leave at 4:55, Westwood at 5, Union Station at 5:05. And no one can tell you. This is a great system, and will a little common sense tweaking, it will see a whole lot more use. Just keep the information flowing.
