Lots of people I talk to are curious about the new Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The revamped Aladdin has a modern and swish casino with remodeled rooms to match. Recent travel reviews on sites like TripAdvisor show that some of the old Aladdin rooms are still in existence. Sunbathers might prefer a resort with a better pool but poker players might be keen to play in the spacious Planet Hollywood poker room or take a stab at one of their notable “Grinder” poker tournaments. To boot, Planet Hollywood has a favorable location on the Strip, especially for shopaholics.

Caveat: I couldn’t get the room reservation website to scroll down (to November) on my MacBook, but it worked fine on a PC and I was able to test the deal.

I’ve stayed at the Planet 3 times in the past 6 months and got great deals. I would say that it’s a very underated hotel for the quality of the rooms and the location. It’s right across the street from the Bellagio and walking distance to the Caesars Palace, Paris, and various other casinos worth visiting. Because it’s underated and it’s relatively small size, the casino is not crowded and you don’t have to fight through hordes of people like at other popular casinos.
