Las Vegas hotel deal: 2-cent Tuesdays at Harrah's with Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines is offering a room on the Center Strip at Harrah’s for 2 cents if you pay for two other nights through its “Top Picks” promo. It’s kind of like a third-night-free deal, but throw in  2 cents to play along with a typical Spirit Airlines promotional gimmick.

When: Sept. 2–Nov. 30, 2008

Tested: I checked out the special and found that the cheapest week to take advantage of this deal was the Monday–Wednesday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 24-26). The total price for the three nights (including the 2-cent Tuesday) was $135, including tax. If you wanted a room with a view of the Strip, the cost was $179 for all three nights, including tax. An added bonus is that the Harrah’s deluxe rooms have recently been updated (pictured).

Note: There were only a few dates open for the special rate in September including Sept. 7-11 and Sept. 28-30, 2008. The last week of September and the first and last weeks of October had reasonable rates.
