If you can’t get enough of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” on TV — especially the original Las Vegas series — then get ready for CSI: The Experience, brand-new to the only city where a “CSI” exhibit truly makes sense, Las Vegas. The new interactive attraction opens at the MGM Grand next week and is a multimedia playground awaiting guests who want to have fun testing their forensic skills and solve a crime mystery.
You will act as an investigator and go through one of three crime scenes. Take notes, analyze clues and watch videos with characters from the TV show while you learn about DNA identification, firearm and toolmark identification, blood-spatter analysis, forensic entomology and more.
I think it’s great that there is a companion website to the exhibit that lets fans know what they’ll expect before they get there — especially parents. Mom and Dad, check out the family guide if you want to familiarize yourself with the exhibit and language beforehand. They do recommend that this attraction is best suited for children age 12 and older.
Tip: Check out the CSI Web Adventures game if you’re having a tough time waiting for your first visit.
When: Opens Sept. 13.
Where: It is located on MGM Grand’s Studio Walk
Hours: Open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Cost: $30 per person with re-entry priced at $26 per person with proof of prior admission.
Contact: CSI: The Experience, (702) 891-1111
