One victory parade just wasn’t enough for Kobe Bryant.
The NBA Finals MVP celebrated the Los Angeles Lakers‘ 15th championship Thursday with a parade at Disneyland amid cheering fans and flying confetti. (Check out the Times’ photo gallery of the parade.)
Kobe’s wife, kids and fellow Lakers skipped the celebration. Mickey Mouse and a bunch of Disney characters joined the NBA star on the parade float along Main Street U.S.A.
After the parade, Kobe invited Pomona resident and Lakers fan David Guerrero and his 4-year-old son, Jonathan, to take a ride on the Matterhorn roller coaster.
More photos after the jump.

Kobe’s favorite Disneyland rides:
“When I’m with my oldest daughter, it’s Splash Mountain,” Kobe told the Orange County Register. “When I’m with my youngest daughter, it’s Peter Pan. And when I’m with my wife, it’s Space Mountain.”
In explaining the relief of finally winning a Shaq-less ring, Kobe mentioned the Happiest Place on Earth during his post-NBA Finals news conference:
“Now when I go to Disneyland, I can enjoy the moment. I don’t have to answer questions about ‘What the hell happened to you guys?’ Know what I mean? From that standpoint, the summer is much more enjoyable.”

Now I’m not a sports fan, and I’m not “Laker-hating” because I do think people needs this sort of community celebration. I would just like to one day see the city come together like this for things that our truly important and rally for issues that really affect the day to day lives of our communities. It’s nice to dream, i figure….

MAN - i missed Kobe at Disneyland by ONE day?!
Wished I could have seen him there since I didn’t go to the parade.
It is nice when so many in this city can celebrate the hard work of some of its citizens together…..

I was there and it was live!!! I loved every minute of it especially when Kobe was pointing at me on that picture. I had a tshirt on that said I love the black Mamba! and HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Then after the parade he was being interviewed with the press and after his interview my shirt caught his eyes and pointed at me and smiled and gave me the thumbs up! I love Kobe!
