Arizona: Kids stay free at Scottsdale resort

Warm up to summer with a special deal that’s perfect for families looking for an inexpensive mini-vacation.

The deal: Stay at the Chaparral Suites Resort Scottsdale, in Arizona, for $99 a night. The package, called Caribbean Summer, includes a two-room suite and is available from May 25 through Sept. 1. Kids under 17 stay free, and guests receive a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast daily. Snacks and games are available free each evening, and guests can listen to live Caribbean music poolside on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The hotel: The Chaparral Suites Resort is family-owned, has two pools and is within walking distance of Old Town Scottsdale. It is 20 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Free airport transportation is provided.
