JetBlue’s ‘Life Is Short’ airfare sale

You’d think that JetBlue’s latest winter airfare sale was playing on our emotions if you’ve seen (or reading about) Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman’s movie “The Bucket List.”

Yes, life is short, so where are you going?

Deal: Book at least seven days in advance to get JetBlue’s winter fares for travel through Feb. 13 or Feb. 28, depending on your route. The promotional pretax fares will look familiar—$49 one way from Long Beach (LGB) to Las Vegas (LAS) or Oakland (OAK), $69 one way from Long Beach (LGB) to Salt Lake City (SLC) and $139 one way between Long Beach (LGB) and Washington, D.C. (IAD).

Most of the deals will be found by flying Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. If you’re leaving the continental U.S., fly Monday-Wednesday for southbound travel and Tuesday-Thursday for northbound travel to get the lowest fares.
