JetBlue 7-day sale: super-low fares for flying on specific dates

If you can be flexible with your travel schedule, you can score some amazing low fares on JetBlue’s new “Jet Out of Town” sale. (Note the specific dates in the sample sale fares.) There’s no doubt the seats will go fast, so get in there and find a reason to go from Long Beach to Sacramento, Boston or Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Sample one-way sale fares:

$19 — From Long Beach, California (LGB) to Sacramento, California (SMF) on Sept. 16, 2008, one way. Tested: The deal was definitely there, but to return the same week, the flight back was $59, making the total cost $99 round trip, including taxes.

$79 — From Long Beach, California (LGB) to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL) on Sept. 8, 2008, one way. Tested: I found the $79 fare for a flight departing at 9:20 p.m. Other flights that week ranged from $139-$339 one way, pre-tax. I found a round-trip flight for $239 including taxes by flying Sept. 8–17, 2008.

$99 — From Long Beach, California (LGB) to Boston (BOS) on Oct. 20, 2008, one way. Tested: I found the $99 flight (other fares that week started at $179 one way) and a round-trip flight returning Friday, Oct. 24, came to $299 including taxes.
