Jet Airways delays launch of SFO-Mumbai route

Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways Jet Airways, which announced last month that it was starting service from San Francisco (SFO) to Mumbai, India (BOM), via Shanghai (PVG; Pudong Intl.) on May 5, has delayed the route’s launch until at least June 14, the airline said.

“The delay in the launch of Jet Airways’ flights out of SFO is a result of the regulatory process not being finalized in time for the May 5 launch,” Mark Liebermann, spokesman for the India-based airline, said in an e-mail.”

“The necessary government approvals are in place, but it will take until June 14 to finalize the regulatory process,” he said.

Stay tuned for updates.
