It’s not too late to think about that holiday trip

For the last-minute holiday traveler: You just might be in luck this year.

Times staff writer Peter Pae reports that “lower oil prices and slumping demand for air travel” have prompted airlines to slash winter fares. “Forget the early bird getting the worm,” Tom Parsons of Bestfares.com is quoted as saying.
