Is Kindle for travelers? Jeff Bezos says yes

Amazon.com KindleTech Crunch interviewed Amazon Chief Executive Jeff Bezos about his new wireless e-book reader, Kindle. When asked what kinds of people would want Kindle, Bezos suggested travelers. I have never gotten into the whole e-book industry, but I could see this being handy on a train or plane. Kindle ($399) downloads books, magazines, blogs — even newspapers — and weighs less than a pound. Downloads promise to be less than $9.99. The Los Angeles Times is not on the Kindle newspaper list.
