Weekend holiday shopping getaway in Irvine

Holiday shopping can be exhausting.  So why not make a weekend out of it? The Irvine Chamber Visitors Bureau has put together a special holiday package for those who stay and shop in Irvine.

Deal: Stay two nights at one of the participating Irvine hotels and get a $50 gift card to be used at the Irvine Spectrum or the Marketplace at any retail outlet that accepts American Express, plus free parking and breakfast at your hotel.

When: The holiday package is valid for weekend stays through Jan. 10, 2009.

Shopping Centers: The Irvine Spectrum or the Marketplace

Tip: The Spectrum’s ice-skating rink is open now through Jan. 19, and Santa visits the mall Nov. 28 through Dec. 24. See their events calendar for a list of activities and special performances or sales.

Participating hotels: Candlewood Suites, Atrium Hotel, Crown Plaza Irvine, Doubletree Hotel Irvine-Spectrum, Homestead Studio Suites, Irvine Marriott, Hyatt Regency, Residence Inn Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott, Embassy Suites and Hilton.
