EXPIRED Spirit hotel deals: Las Vegas & St. Maarten

Sonesta Maho Beach ResortSpirit Airlines has hotel deals, too. Their super-cheap promotions are driving me nuts. I’m an absolute sucker for reading them. More often than not, the-less-than-$10 fares are not applicable to us on the West Coast. But this time, I found a page of great hotel deals. From a seemingly legitimate five-cent room in St Maarten to 50% off the new Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, there are definitely offers worth looking into on their “Top Picks” page. But you have to act fast.

Deals:

St. Maarten hotel: Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino – 5 cents/night
Valid only from 5/5/07 to 5/11/07 (pictured)

Las Vegas hotel: Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino
50% off plus goodies; Call (877) 333-9474 and use code Spirit7
Book by May 4 for travel August 1 – 23, 2007

Flight: LAX to Guatemala City, 1 cent one-way
Travel on May 27 – 30, 2007
One-cent fare was good on departing flight May 27, but it was $109 for the return. All in all, $194.21.

When: Book by 8:59 PM PT on May 2, 2007 for penny deals. More time allotted on some of the other hotel deals.

More Details: I tested the five-cent hotel room in St. Maarten and went as far as I could until a credit card was asked for. As far as I could tell, they really were only going to charge five cents/night. And taxes were five cents as well for a five-night stay. Still, it’s difficult for me to trust that I could get a room for five nights for 30 cents. I couldn’t find the mark up, but it might be there, somewhere. Scrutinize the terms and conditions before booking. Each hotel pick has their own rules and regulations.
