Good morning travelers! I hope you enjoyed your long weekend.
Seasonal news | The first hurricane of the season is called Bertha and is located 845 miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. The Leeward Islands are the northern islands of the Lesser Antilles. St. Martin and St. Kitts are islands you are probably most familiar with in this area. How Stuff Works has a great map of the area that I’ve included above. To find out more information about Hurricane Bertha, check out the website from the National Hurricane Center.

Holiday photographers | Don’t forget to submit your Fourth of July photos to Your Scene. This picture above is my favorite so far.
Celeb news | Report details snooping in celebrity passport files. According to the U.S. State Department investigation, files of nine of the 150 tested famous Americans (athletes, politicians and entertainers) were opened more than 100 times. What were they looking for? I wouldn’t care as much where they’ve been as I would want to know who of the glitterati has traveled the most. That’s bragging rights. Obviously, the list is being kept private.
