Holiday Travel: Megabus adds $1 seats

Megabus departs from Los Angeles Megabus—the bus service that has budget travelers jumping up and down with applause as they climb on board shiny new buses to Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, Tempe and more—has extended their calendar through the holidays. Normally restricted to 45-day advance booking, now you can reserve seats through January 6, 2007 for holiday travel.

Deal: There are seats as low as $1 and many for $8 each-way. Here are some sample fares I found departing from Los Angeles:

Los Angeles to San Francisco, California—$1.00 (December 20, 22 – 24)
Los Angeles to San Diego, California—$1.00 (December 20 – 24)
Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Nevada—$1.00 (December 20), $8.00 (December 21 – 24)
Los Angeles to Tempe, Arizona—$1.00 (December 20, 22 – 24) $10.00 (December 21)
