Hawaii’s 50th anniversary: Celebrate with Aqua hotel deal in 2009

Aqua Bamboo & spa

Our country’s 50th state, Hawaii, which was admitted to the union on Aug. 21, 1959, is turning 50 next year. Aqua Hotels & Resorts is offering a very tempting deal to get you celebrating the great state in your own state of bliss — poolside or beachside on Oahu.

Deal: Aqua’s “Nifty to be Fifty Statehood Package” is available at its 12 Waikiki properties. Under the promotion, you pay just $50 for your first night’s stay, if you book a minimum of three nights. Your second and third nights start at $89 per night at Aqua Lite hotels such as Park Shore Waikiki and at $119 at Aqua Boutique hotels like Aqua Bamboo & Spa. Rates listed are pre-tax.

In addition, guests who are 50 years old or over receive a free amenity per room. And, no matter your age, you can take advantage of an optional 30-minute massage treatment at the spa for a discounted price of $50 (or $95 for a 50-minute massage).

To book the package online, go to your preferred hotel’s “packages” page and click on the “Nifty to be Fifty” box.

When: The offer is available for stays Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2009.

Connect/disconnect: All Aqua hotels offer free high-speed wireless Internet.
