If you’re planning a trip to the Aloha State soon, take note:

Superferry | The Hawaii Superferry is due for its annual maintenance dry-docking, the company announced on Monday, so its ship, the Alakai, will be out of service from Feb. 2 to Feb. 17, 2009. Superferry is contacting those who had made reservations for this recently announced block-out period and is offering refunds or reservations for later sailings.

Park closures | Hilo’s Mohouli Park, on the Big Island is closed now through Jan. 23 while renovation is in progress on paths and sidewalks, according to the Honolulu Advertiser newspaper. Polihale State Park, on Kauai, which suffered damage from floods in December, is still closed to the public.

Deal | Here’s the latest from popular tour wholesaler Pleasant Holidays: You can save up to 50% off companion airfare if you’re heading to the islands from Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO). This offer is good for travel now through May 31, and Aug. 24 through Dec. 15, 2009. Also, the company’s $269 fly-drive deal that we recently posted about is still available.
