You can spend three nights in Hawaii for as little as $349 per person, plus taxes, including hotel and round-trip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco. The Pleasant Holidays deals, announced on election day, are the cheapest prices I’ve seen since island hotels and packagers began a round of discounts earlier this fall.
The giant company is also offering weeklong, inter-island NCL cruises starting at $799 per person, including airfare.
The upsides: Under Pleasant Holidays’ Hawaii Year-End Blowout sale, you can travel through Dec. 17 on the air-hotel packages and as late as the Dec. 13 sailing of NCL’s Pride of America. Three-night packages start at $349 plus taxes on Oahu and $399 on Maui. Got a hotel already? Check out fly-drive packages starting at $306 for air and two-day car rentals. Packages from LAX include a 25% discount at the Parking Spot.
The downsides: The deals are subject to availability, and at these prices, they may not last long. The travel dates don’t include the popular Christmas and New Year’s periods. And of course, like most offers, they are priced per person, double occupancy, so singles may pay more. Prices vary by date and hotel.
The 411: To book the packages, contact a travel agent or Pleasant Holidays, (800) 742-9244. You can also reserve online at the Pleasant Holidays website. For other good Hawaii deals, check out the islands’ tourism website.
