Have yourself a Napa Valley Christmas

How’s this for a heavenly few days away during the holidays? At Silverado Resort in Napa, relax among 1,200 beautiful acres; sleep in a historic mansion; bliss out in a spa; and after days spent out and about on winery-crawls, play tennis, golf and/or volleyball. And, most importantly, on Christmas Day itself, let someone else do all the cooking for you.

Deal: Silverado Resort’s “Napa Valley Christmas Package” features the following for $299 per night (pre-tax): Accommodations in a two-bedroom fireplace suite (fits up to four people); a 20% discount on golf and select spa services; and a Christmas buffet, served in the resort’s ballroom. The buffet spread sounds gorgeous, consisting of a prime-rib carving station and mains selection of teriyaki chicken breast, pan-roasted sea bass, braised pork and, of course, roasted turkey. Appetizers include vegetables and cheeses as well as sushi and calamari, and there will be an array of salads and sides, and of course, desserts.

If the resort sounds good but you aren’t too keen on the buffet or other package components, you can get an a la carte standard room for as little as $155 per night (pre-tax) during the same period.

When: The Christmas package is valid for three-night stays from Dec. 23 to Dec. 28, 2008. If your stay overlaps before or beyond that period, additional nights will be discounted 15% off regular published rates.

Caveat: The package price does not include taxes or the $20 nightly resort fee.
