Exclusive: First look at Halloween Horror Nights Meat Market scare zone at Universal Studios Hollywood

Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood

A band of deranged and demented chainsaw-wielding butchers hell-bent on carving up unsuspecting victims will roam the streets of Universal Studios Hollywood during Halloween Horror Nights 2009.

The butcher “scareactors,” their skinned and scalped skulls held together by bloodied bandages, will populate the Meat Market scare zone during the annual Halloween event.

For me, the engine-revving sound and fume-spewing smell of a jaw-rattling chainsaw practically defines Halloween. I can almost hear the shrieks and screams of terrified teenagers fleeing in fear for their lives.

Meat Market on Western Street joins four other scare zones:
* “Saw” on the upper and lower lots
* “Shaun of the Dead” on Baker Street
* Welcome to Hell on New York Street
* Freakz on French Street

* Haunted mazes themed to the “Halloween” and “Saw” movie franchises
* A live “Rocky Horror Picture Showmusical revue
* The all-new “Terror Tram: Live or Die” studio backlot tour
