Calling all six-string shredders and fleet-fingered maestros: The Guitar Hero Challenge continues this week at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Competitors play Guitar Hero III on the Xbox 360 platform.
The Top 10 daily points leaders in four categories (expert, hard, medium and easy) advance to the final round on Thursday for the chance to win annual passes, concert tickets and $500 cash.
Teen celebrities (and Guitar Hero fans) expected on hand for Thursday’s finale include Allen Alvarado from Discovery Kids’ “Flight 29 Down” as well as Kyle Swann and Rob Pinkston from Nickelodeon’s “Ned’s Declassified School Survivor Guide.”
The Guitar Hero Challenge competition, open to all visitors with paid admission, runs through Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. at the Valencia amusement park.

Brady, thanks for posting this. What fun! I just played my first game of Guitar Hero this weekend at a friends’ and now I’m fixed to get it for myself. It’s so much fun. :-)
I hope that there are some videos of the winners at Magic Mt for us to check out after the contest.

I can remember a guy telling me that Guitar Hero was a passing fad after the first one was made. I think he was a little off on that prediction. Guitar Hero World Tour, Metallica and Guitar Hero-5 coming soon.
