Google Checkout = 10,000 frequent flyer miles

Google Checkout logoHow many of you are doing the bulk of your holiday shopping online this year? If you are, you might want to maximize your savings (and travel) potential by paying through Google Checkout. Upgrade: Travel Better led us to the Google version of PayPal, that I hadn’t even heard of. Look for the Google Checkout symbol (shown below) when paying for your shopping online this month and rack up 10,000 miles toward your next free ticket or upgrade.

Deal: Register for Google Checkout and get 2 frequent flyer miles for every $1 you spend with Google Checkout through Dec. 31, 2007. The mileage programs listed on Google’s promotion page include United, U.S. Airways, Northwest, Midwest, Delta, Continental and Alaska. And if you want even more deals, check out Google Checkout’s Savings and Free Shipping pages to see where the added value is before you start racking up your miles. Some of the most recognizable names on their list of stores are: Toys R Us, Petco, the Sharper Image, Blue Nile, Ebags, CompUSA, Ace Hardware and Zales.

Tip: Upgrade: Travel Better suggests paying through a mileage credit card and clicking on the online shopping sites via your airline’s online mall to totally maximize on this holiday deal. (I’m going to keep my eye on this blog!)

Caveat: Total miles earned cannot exceed 10,000 frequent flyer miles ($5,000).
