Good morning travelers! How was your weekend? Are any of you traveling this week to get married now that gay marriage is allowed in California? We’ll have a look at ideal destinations for honeymoons this week and, in the mean time, here’s the Los Angeles Times Gay Marriage page and Reader Q&A. Tell us where you’re going, we want to know where the hot California wedding destinations are these days.
Summer Travel | Los Angeles Times staff writer Jane Engle advises us to get a passport now and avoid the rush.
Budget Travel | Grant Martin over at Gadling tipped us off to a last-minute deal to South America. United has Buenos Aires (EZE) on sale. When I tested this deal, I couldn’t find any $599 or $650 fares like Grant did, but I did find Saver Award seats available between Los Angeles (LAX) and Buenos Aires (EZE) for 50,000 miles plus tax. Available departure dates were June 17-23 and June 25-26. Available returning dates were June 22-29. I did not check July.
Hotel News | HotelChatter got me excited today. They are talking about the possibility of an Alcatraz Hotel in San Francisco by 2010.
Local | L.A. Now featured a photo of the Hotel Cabrillo in San Pedro — a reminder that you can turn in photos to Your Scene. In addition to travel, there are categories including Your Neighborhood, Your L.A., Your News and more.

Just make sure that when you buy those tickets to Brazil, they are one way.
