Frontier Airlines: San Diego to Mazatlan $99

Frontier Airlines logoWe were going to tell you about the Frontier Airlines California $79 sale ending tonight, but closer inspection saw that all cheap flights were to and from Bay Area destinations with no love from LAX. What about us Southern Californians? Say hola to Mazatlán and plan a trip south of the border this winter.

Deals:
Frontier Airlines begins service from San Diego (SAN) to Mazatlán as of December 15, 2007. There will be just two flights a day but prices start off at $99 each-way based on roundtrip departure. I found flights easily in January and after taxes and fees the round-trip coast for one passenger was $295.

Why Go: EarlyReturns frequent fliers can get double miles for non-stop flights between San Diego and Mazatlán from December 15, 2007 to January 31, 2008.

Why Not: Flights only run on Saturdays. You can, however, fly on other dates if you’d like to go through Denver. Note there are several blackout dates around the holidays.

When: Book by 8:59 pm PT on Sept. 12 for travel between Dec. 15, 2007 and March 5, 2008

Contact: Frontier Airlines, (800) 432-1359
