First day of summer; Louis Vuitton audio tours in China; $50 gas card

Good morning travelers! Happy first day of summer! How are you going to celebrate the summer solstice? In case you could use a little refresher on the subject (like myself), check out Discover’s blog post “20 Things You Didn’t Know About … the Summer Solstice.” Believe it or not, this is also supposed to be the happiest day of the year. China | Are your walking tours not stylish enough? Louis Vuitton has started doing audio tours with Soundwalk just in time for the Beijing Olympics. Destinations so far include Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. TechCrunch has the skinny on this alternative travel guide for nomadic hipsters. Cost: $17.

Las Vegas | Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay has a new Komodo Dragon — Nevada’s first! Today they are celebrating their eighth anniversary. Tickets have been lowered to $8 and Starbucks will be handing out free Komodo Blend coffee to those in line. Kids can even get a free (temporary) tattoo if they come to see the dragon.

Deals | Hotels.com is offering a $50 gas card to customers who book three nights or more through them. Purchase your hotel rooms by July 6 and travel by Sept. 1, 2008. Use promo code “GAS50″ and they’ll mail the gas card to you after your trip.
