Favorite West Coast vacation spot: Tell L.A. Times Travel print staff where to go

Are you one of those people who read the newspaper on Sunday mornings and wonder why the Travel section has never covered your favorite West Coast getaway spot? Here’s your chance to get that vacation gem in the spotlight. Send in your favorite hotel, quiet beach, or even that remote fishing hole you love. One of the reporters may check out your spot and put it in an August issue.

So go ahead, tell the Travel staff how to spend their summer vacation!

Deadline: You have until Saturday, June 21, 2008 to submit your ideas.

When: The best suggestions will appear online by noon Saturday, Aug. 16, and will be featured in print Sunday, Aug. 17.

Prize? There is no prize for the location that gets chosen, but you’ll get to brag to your friends and family about how travel-savvy you are.
