Europe packages: Rome – Florence – Venice

EuropeanDestinations.com has my attention. They’re focusing on cheap fall travel to Europe and putting together air + hotel packages where the traveler still has a lot of flexibility to customize and upgrade their trip.

Deal: I checked out the Rome – Florence – Venice package. From Los Angeles, I found a basic package that included round-trip airfare, 6 nights hotel (2 nights in Rome, 2 nights in Florence and 2 nights in Venice), Eurostar rail transportation, and travel insurance for $1,091/person (including taxes). The website is very easy to understand and use with additional upgrades like tours, rental cars and better hotels available. Updated prices are shown every step of the way should you want to upgrade from a 3-star hotel to a 4-star hotel on any or all nights.

Caveat: Prices are per person based on double occupancy. One of the requirements is midweek departure. The travel insurance is optional at $46/person.

When: Travel in November to get the lowest prices.
