I’m on the road in Monaco for the 66th annual Grand Prix. These photos were taken from my hotel window on Thursday morning during Formula Renault 3.5 practice runs.

The race is on Sunday, with Fernando Alonso defending his title against aggressive adversaries.

Grand Prix in MonacoThere is a photography exhibition of winners in the casino. Meanwhile, the city is like a windup toy, full of activity and noise. I mean noise. When the cars come by, they sound like a cross between a swarm of hornets and a jackhammer.
