Eli Manning isn’t “going to Disneyland” just yet.
It turns out the Super Bowl-winning quarterback’s schedule is so jam-packed and the skies over Scottsdale, Arizona, are so crowded with air traffic that Manning could not make it to Anaheim in time for today’s 10:30 a.m. Disneyland parade as previously reported in this space.
Manning is instead heading to New York City for a taping of the “Late Show With David Letterman” this evening and then a ticker-tape parade down Broadway on Tuesday.
Disney officials hope to reschedule Manning’s visit, but so far the details remain up in the air.
Disneyland had several scenarios in place for today’s canceled parade — including an 8:30 a.m. start time that was a full hour and a half before the theme park opened. But the newly crowned Super Bowl MVP’s crowded calendar simply did not allow it.

It turns out Disneyland held the Super Bowl parade today without Eli Manning.
Photographic evidence from Laughing Place shows a bunch of forlorn Pop Warner football players from Tustin, California riding the float sans the MVP. (Hat tip to the Disney Blog.)
First Mickey Mouse talks the kids into ditching school and then he dashes their dreams. Year of a Million Tears.
Update: Now Eli Manning has pushed back his “Late Show with David Letterman” appearance from tonight to Wednesday, according to TV Guide. (Hat tip to BlooLoop.) CBS attributed the schedule switch to Arizona airport delays caused by the high volume of Super Bowl getaway traffic.

Good. I hope he doesn’t make it to LA - he and his team played dirty and don’t deserve all the fan fair surrounding their undeserved “win”. Why don’t you go to Coney Island and celebrate there?

Let me think about this one, parade down the canyon of heroes or a parade in Disneyland? Come on that is easy a parade down NY where you get the key to the city is way better than cheesey parade.

Good for him. For those who think he plays dirty-such as ’sara’- and suggested that he play at Coney Island, maybe it is you that needs some Disneyland in your bitter, insignificant life..give the guy a break lady.

Sara you just seem overly bitter. I didn’t see any dirty play during the game. New England is the team noted for cheating this year.

Eli Manning should go to both Disneyland and Disney World when it’s convenient for him. He’s not a robot. He’s the Super Bowl XLII MVP.

We were in DisneyWorld when the Pats beat the Jags. They (the Pats) are both sore winners, and sore losers, they want it both ways. Kudos to Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning.”Stay Class New York”.
Like Frank said, the Pats are the ones continually being implicated for video improper-ness.

was he contracted to go, was the flight, hotel and managers in agreement or was this a “what if” or “maybe”…normally these things are worked out between managers, schedulers and the venue…it sounds like no one really had this organized!
