If you’ll be on the road on Election Night, no need to sequester yourself in your hotel room to keep tabs on the results of McCain/Palin versus Obama/Biden.
For a festive Nov. 4th, stay or stop in at Omni Hotels, with locations throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The hotel group will be hosting “Election Night Returns!” events in its lounges and lobbies, where guests — regardless of presidential preferences — can gather.
From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., TVs will be on for viewing and the food and bar menus will offer themed menus. The “Red Recovery” and the “Stock Market Blues” are both citrus-vodka concoctions (with a big kick, hopefully), and food choices include mini-burgers called “Poll Sliders” and “Pull the Lever” nachos, loaded with the works.
Locals are invited to partake in the fun as well. In Southern California, Omni has hotels in downtown Los Angeles and San Diego.
