
Admit it, you haven’t been able to concentrate on work all day. Five o’clock East Coast exit polls, let alone happy hour, is quickly approaching. But where’s the best place to watch the election results? There are red & blue drink specials all over greater Los Angeles tonight, and the parties are sure to be more fun than watching the news from home. As you wind things up at the office, consider a pit stop at one of these locations.

Omni hotels | Lobbies and lounges are having “Election Night Returns!” Sip a “Red Recovery” or “Stock Market Blues” drink while noshing on “Poll Sliders” and “Pull the Lever” nachos. Omni has hotels in downtown Los Angeles and San Diego.
Manhattan Beach Marriott | They are having a “Dance for Change” party in two ballrooms. There will be music and dancing in one room and election news coverage in the other. Cost: If your group has fewer than five people, it’s $20 per person. If your group has more than five people, it’s $10 per person. Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel | Obama fans — don’t miss this free celeb-studded party at this Hyatt. Sarah Silverman, Zooey Deschanel, Joy Bryant, Pierce Brosnan, Peter Fonda and many others are scheduled to host ”Obama for America Election Night,” with special guests U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein and her California colleague, Sen. Barbara Boxer. Where: 2025 Avenue of the Stars, Century City. Time: 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The Farmer’s Daughter Hotel | Tart, the restaurant inside the Fairfax district hotel, is offering a free dessert to those that have their “I Voted” sticker. Where: 115 S. Fairfax Ave., L.A. (323) 937-3930
Red & Blue drinks:
Celebrate the results with a McCainaide or an Obamarita at Blue on Blue, celebrate with the Onion at Redwood Bar, get a free drink with an “I Voted” sticker downtown at the Edison, or if your candidate doesn’t come out on top — wash your sorrows away for cheap at several L.A. bars including $3 premium pints at Barney’s Beanery locations.
